The Birdies for Kids Scholarship is a community-driven initiative by the Thai Golf Association of Texas (TGATX) dedicated to supporting the academic future of our youth. Through the game of golf and the generosity of our members, sponsors, and partners, we are proud to provide financial assistance to deserving students pursuing higher education.

This scholarship reflects our mission to give back—empowering the next generation to succeed both on and off the course.

Our Purpose

The Birdies for Kids Scholarship was established to:

• Promote educational advancement within our community

• Provide financial support to students with strong academic performance

• Encourage leadership, character, and community involvement

• Create opportunities for youth connected to TGATX families

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be a graduating high school senior

• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

• Provide an official high school transcript

• Be a family member of a TGATX member

• Plan to attend an accredited college or university

Selection Considerations

Recipients are selected based on a holistic review of:

• Academic achievement

• Personal character and leadership

• Community involvement and service

• A personal essay outlining future goals and community impact

Scholarship Impact

Proceeds from TGATX tournaments and fundraising initiatives directly support this scholarship program. Every birdie made on the course represents more than a score—it represents an investment in a student’s future.
